Debra is a Registered Nurse with over 33 years experience. Throughout her nursing career, Debra has worked as a Registered Nurse in both General and Mental Health along with Aged Care. She has fulfilled roles as Infection Control Coordinator / Auditor, Nurse Educator / Education Coordinator / Manager and Quality and Compliance Manager. She has also worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant which has greatly enhanced her knowledge in Manual Handling.
Debra possesses a Dip of Applied Science (Nursing), Physiotherapy Assistant Certificate, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40104) and currently undertaking the latest version of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) and a Dip of Leadership and Management.
Debra is a member of the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia – AHPRA, NSW Nurses and Midwifes Association, NSW College of Nursing.
Debra has extensive experience in the Aged Care sector which has provided her with a great understanding of the Aged Care industry along with the accreditation standards and processes and the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI). Debra has a great passion for teaching and sharing her knowledge and experience with others.
In her spare time Debra likes to teach ballet as she is a qualified Ballet Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance.
